Coastal Cleanup Day
Friday, August 3, 2018
The Mendocino Land Trust is proud to have coordinated the California Coastal Commission's Coastal Cleanup Day in Mendocino County for the past 15 years.
We work with local individuals, business and community organizations to gather volunteers, and establish cleanup sites throughout Mendocino County. Last year, we removed over 5,500 POUNDS of trash and recycleables with the help of 300+ volunteers along 70 miles of shoreline!
Join us at one of our many locations on Saturday, September 15th from 9am - Noon. Walk-ins are welcome, no need to sign up ahead of time, just show up at your favorite beach and lend a hand. Supplies will be provided, but we ask all volunteers to please bring their own work gloves, water bottle, and garbage receptacle (bucket, bag, etc.) to help reduce waste.
Check out our Facebook Event Page for more information.
Coastal Cleanup Day is a great way for families, students, service groups, and neighbors to join together to take care of our fragile marine environment, show community support for our shared natural resources, and to have fun. If you would like to captain a beach or organize a group, please contact our office at (707) 962-0470 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
