September 21st and September 28 – California Coastal Cleanup Day

Mendocino College Coast Center, Del Mar Drive, Fort Bragg, CA, USA

The California Coastal Commission celebrates 40 years of Coastal Cleanup Day! Coast Site Captains will get to work on September 21st, and our inland partners will meet the following week, on September 28th

Since 2002, Mendocino Land Trust has served as the County Coordinator both on the coast, with volunteer crews working at up to 20 sites from Westport to Navarro,   and inland, working closely with the Mendocino County Resource Conservation District in Ukiah to support the Russian River and watershed area in the Ukiah Valley area. Our communities  work together to keep creeks, rivers, beaches, and ocean trash-free and safe for people and wildlife. In Mendocino County, over 5,000 volunteers have removed an astounding 60,000 pounds of trash and over 9,000 pounds of recyclables!
