Chamberlain Creek Salmon Habitat

In 2021, the Mendocino Land Trust submitted a proposal to design a new crossing on Chamberlain Creek to replace a partial barrier to salmon migration. California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Fisheries Restoration Grant Program funded this project, and 100% designs for a new stream crossing are complete. This new crossing will allow unimpeded passage for all life stages of salmonids and open 1.6 miles of upstream spawning and rearing habitat that was previously inaccessible. Now that the designs are complete, we have applied for grant funding to install the new crossing. We will be adding details here as the project gets going!
