The Pelican Bluffs Trail is Open

After a great summer and fall of trail building with the help of many volunteers, the Pelican Bluffs trail is now officially open for you to enjoy! While we still have a few finishing touches to put into place, this ‘soft’ opening will allow our eager community to enjoy this beautiful property before our official ‘Grand Opening’ event this spring.

Just south of Point Arena, this mile long loop trail takes visitors over a wide coastal prairie, down to the bluffs to see the white cliffs, and back around through a shaded wood of Bishop pine.

Home to a variety of wildlife such as peregrine falcons and Point Arena mountain beaver, the Pelican Bluffs preserve is a treasure to behold, now protected forever.
